Meemee Khine
Meemee has been a dedicated member of Lao Family Community Development for over fifteen years. She came to the United States as a refugee from Burma with a lifelong aspiration to become a social worker and help others. Starting her journey with the agency as an Employment Counselor, she has contributed her skills and leadership across several departments, earning multiple promotions along the way.
Today, Meemee serves as the Reentry Programs Manager, overseeing services in both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. A strong belief in second chances and the power of community drives her. Her passion is helping individuals overcome barriers, restore their dignity, and rediscover hope. Meemee is committed to building supportive, person-centered pathways that lead to healing, stability, and renewed purpose.
