Lao Family offers access to various housing opportunities and case manages clients to assist with housing needs.

Housing, economic development, and nonprofit spaces include help with affordable rental housing, housing navigation, first-time homeownership, supportive housing, business assistance, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

California’s unhoused community includes 65% that are situational and 35% that are chronic with severe conditions.

Lao Family has operated a range of housing for families, seniors, and adults in need in the last 33 years. These include Casa Liberty (an affordable interim 12-unit supportive family property for DV survivors in Sacramento County), six CARE Casitas, including CARE Casita  Village and CARE Casita San Pablo, the Rumrill Apartments—a 32-unit permanent housing complex in San Pablo, CA, and temporary to permanent housing for AB 109 adult populations—a total of 74 units. Lao Family operates three CARE Campuses in Oakland, Sacramento, and Rancho Cordova, offering 500+ units of housing.
