What Is LFCD CARE Market?
LFCD CARE Market connects donated essential goods and other eligible products with individuals and families experiencing economic hardship and other barriers to stability.
Through LFCD’s service network and trusted community partners, donated products can be received, organized, and distributed to communities where they can make a meaningful difference.
LFCD launched its CARE Markets in January 2026 and is seeking business and community partners to help expand this work.

All products are subject to LFCD review, acceptance, and applicable safety requirements. Please contact LFCD for approval before delivering or shipping products.
Donating Products Can Be Simple
1. Tell Us What You Have
Complete a short product-donation inquiry form with information about your company and available products.
2. LFCD Reviews the Donation
Our team will review the product type, quantity, condition, location, and other relevant information.
3. We Coordinate Next Steps
When a donation is approved, LFCD can coordinate appropriate next steps for receiving, sorting, warehousing, and distribution.
4. Products Reach Communities
Products are distributed through LFCD programs and/or trusted community partners to help individuals and families in need.
5. Demonstrating Community Impact
When appropriate, LFCD can provide information about the community impact of donated products.

Building Stability for a New Beginning
Hamidullah
Hamidullah arrived from Afghanistan with his wife and young son with no income, transportation, or local support network. Through LFCD, his family received food and essential household support through CARE Market, along with employment services, English classes, and job training. Hamidullah earned his security guard certification and driver’s license and secured steady employment. Today, he is supporting his family and preparing to move into a home of their own.

Access Creates Opportunity
Fayaz A.
After resettling in Sacramento, Fayaz faced a basic barrier to starting over: he had no transportation or reliable access to technology. LFCD provided him with a Chromebook, opening the door to job applications, English classes, virtual health appointments, and other essential services. While attending English classes at Lao Family’s Sacramento office, Fayaz also received food and essential items through CARE Market, helping support his basic needs as he adjusted to his new community. With continued support, Fayaz is building the connections and skills he needs to become independent in his new community.

Finding Safety and a Path Forward
Patty
Patty came to the United States from Thailand and later fled an abusive home without access to her personal documents or a safe place to stay. LFCD helped connect her to emergency shelter, advocacy, legal assistance, and other essential resources as she rebuilt her life. She ultimately secured immigration protection and a restraining order. Today, Patty is safe, working, and moving forward independently.

From Homelessness to Independence
Mr. Benjamin
When Mr. Benjamin arrived at LFCD’s CARE Campus, he was experiencing homelessness and living in his car. With housing assistance, employment support, life-skills workshops, and essential household resources, he began rebuilding his life. He secured a job with UPS, started a small custom toy-car business, saved money, and moved into permanent housing.
Today, Mr. Benjamin is employed, housed, and thriving.
