Her entrepreneurial ventures reflect her creative vision and operational expertise, including:
- Mini Bar SF – a beloved neighborhood cocktail bar and art gallery
- Mission Bowling Club – a boutique bowling alley, private event venue, and nationally acclaimed restaurant in San Francisco
- Shangri-la Fair Oaks – a Palm Springs–inspired event venue and restaurant with a 6,500 sq. ft. indoor/outdoor patio, three fire pits, and two bocce courts
Sommer has also contributed to the national expansion and visual storytelling of major retailers, including:
- West Elm (Williams-Sonoma Inc.) – launching the first 17 stores nationwide as Visual Merchandising Manager
- Old Navy Flagship (Gap Inc., SF) – opening and managing visuals for the 100,000 sq. ft. flagship at 4th & Market
- Esprit de Corp – leading West Coast merchandising for 40 wholesale accounts
